Sim Ann established Messrs. Chai & Company in July 2018. Before joining the firm, Sim Ann was practicing as a legal associate at Messrs Izral Partnership.

Sim Ann’s main area of practice includes commercial and civil disputes, insolvency (bankruptcy and winding up) and receivership, commercial fraud, real property disputes, breach of trust, family law, corporate disputes involving both shareholders and directors, judicial review, conveyancing as well as probate and administration. Sim Ann had appeared in all levels of Court including High Court, Court of Appeal and Federal Court.

Prior to establishing Messrs. Chai & Company, Sim Ann has worked in Messrs. TJ Chin & Co, law firm in Klang Valley which specialises in conveyancing practice and real property transactions involving sub-sales and direct sales of various housing developments in Klang Valley. In this regard, Sim Ann has developed an expertise in the preparation of the requisite legal documents such as the sale and purchase agreements and loan documentations for most of the financial institutions.

Sim Ann also has experience working with lawyers from other jurisdictions including British Virgin Islands, Jersey, Hong Kong and Thailand for a high profile matter involving several contentious issues concerning the discovery of documents, trusts, share agreements and company law in other jurisdictions.
