ADLY ZULFADHLY ZULKEFLY

Adly graduated with a LLB (Hons) and Diploma in Syarie Legal Practice (DSLP) from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). He was called to the Malaysian Bar and admitted to the roll of Advocates and Solicitors in March 2020. During his university years, he was attached to Lee Hishamuddin & Allen Gledhill as an attachment student and undertook a summer internship with Shearn Delamore & Co in 2017. During these times, he was involved with mainly litigation and arbitration work. Adly subsequently undertook his pupilage at Azmi & Associates where he was trained to handle complex files. Furthermore, he has also acted as counsel for banks and government bodies in relation to construction disputes and other commercial claims.
Adly is passionate about advocacy, and this is reflected in his active participation in mooting competitions and/or mooting associations which Adly was a member of, i.e., the IIUM Jessup Mooting Competition (2014), Novice Arbitration Mooting Competition (2015), 1st Pre-Moot Vis Arbitration Mooting Competition (2015) and Linklater’s Hong Kong Competition Law Mooting Competition (2018). His passion in advocacy led him to obtain a membership in the Moot Alumni Association of the Vis Moot which he has since served as Volunteering Arbitrator for the KL Pre-Moot , Vis East Moot and Vis Vienna Moot and Coach for university teams partaking in the Vis Moot Competition.
Adly was a research assistant for several government funded research projects such as the Harmonisation of National Land Code (2014-2015) under IKIM, the Bibliometric Index 2018 under the Ministry of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change (2018) and Drafting of the Commercial Development Bill under the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (2019). He was also part of the Editorial Team under AIKOL PRESS since 2015 and the Editorial Committee for Azmilaw Newsletter since 2019. He is currently a working committee member of the Young Society for Construction Law Malaysia (YSCL) since 2020, a registered member of the Society for Construction Law Malaysia, a registered member of the Young Practitioners Group Asian International Arbitration Centre (YPG AIAC) since 2018, and a member (since November 2019) Asia Pacific representative (since January 2021) of the Young Practitioners Group of The Institute for Transnational Arbitration (Young ITA).
